Maps - Adding enough weapons

  • One criticism that I have with most maps (CTF maps especially) is that there are not enough weapons to go around. On many maps (on a full server), I will spend 80% of my time shooting with the shotgun and looking for a weapon. If you are a map-designer, please consider adding more weapons to the map, not to mention health and armor also.

    I guess what I'm suggesting is to design the map for a full server in mind (12-16 people).

    Anyone else feel similarly?

  • I'd rather suggest to enable weapon stay on ctf servers...

  • the problem is that many of the maps are suitable for a low player count and there only a few maps for a higher player count and a problem that no one can fix are the player who collect everything and get killed :!:

  • Weapon stay....interesting.

    I might set that on Fusion and see how it does.

  • maybe u can add the "Don't Camp" like in LMS but not for flag carrier..
    e.g. facing is annoying to play :roll:

    Facing is a fantastic map— my only problem with it is the ease with which a person can be sniped coming over the edge- a sniper squatting on the sides of the building can easily pick off attackers.

    That's exactly the reason why I don't like it - and nicknamed it "sniper's paradise". BTW: not only attackers but also spawners...

    I think without a nex it could be a great map.

    I had the same problem on mentalspace doing a 1on1. My enemy had a good aim and used the nex to snipe me away directly after each spawn :roll: . my average life span was little more than a second....

    I think the Nex is not a good idea for maps in which one has a free view from base to base.

  • The nex isn't the problem.

    On publics it's the player size..normally 16 players...no wonder it seems impossible...in 5v5 it's totally different.
