where are aliases stored?

  • Aliases are deleted after you close nexuiz. The only way to keep aliases is to place them in a cfg file. If you need help there is a how to cfg files on my site http://www.thenex.tk.googlepages.com/cfgfiles

  • i thought they wern't stored at all once nexuiz was closed unless you have them in a cfg file.

  • Depends which aliases you're talking aobut.

    The predefinied chat aliases are stored in the data pk3 in the default.cfg.
    Aliases you type in are won't get stored, if you don't store them. Ingame there's a command to write cfg, but I can't remember the name of it now.

    saveconfig. but that won't save any aliases, the only make them persistant is using an autoexec.cfg.

  • it would be handy but most of the people using aliases would already know abou tcfg files.
