Self Damage limited to weapon?

  • Hi all :)

    I'm enjoying the new Last Man Standing server I put up, but it occurs to me that self damage from laser kind of limits your mobility -- you can't laser jump too much since health doesn't regenerate.

    I don't want to turn off all self-damage, but I want to make it easier to laser jump without having to enable regeneration.

    Is there a way to turn off self damage for just laser?

  • No, but you could lower all self damage (g_balance_selfdamagepercent) or lower the laser's damage (i don't think anyone would use it as weapon...)

    i preffer laser over SG as weapon at some occations.

  • Thanks gentlemen. That was the what I was expecting I'd have to do (lower all self damage).

    I also like to use the laser as a finishing weapon sometimes.

  • Why don't you allow laser secondary fire, make primary fire do no damage, and have the secondary fire do standard damage.

  • Good idea use secondary laser
    u can do this
    g_balance_laser_secondary 1
    g_balance_laser_secondary_damage 0.1

    ( or g_balance_laser_primary_damage 0.1 if u prefer )
    why 0.1?
    with 0 force attribute seems not work (no jumps)
