I've been playing Nexuiz for a little while and need some help in finding the type of map I like which are castle maps.

What are all the castle or medeval maps that have been made for Nexuiz by people or are in progress of being made. Is anyone here working on such maps. If you have any of those maps or have seen some could you post a screen shot and a download link if it's complete. Also could you write what your opinions of that map are.

Finally, could we have a build a castle map making competition (only requirement is that the map be a castle or medeval?)

Also if you have one what is your favorite castle map for nexuiz and what types of castle maps would you like to see in the future: french castle, spanish castle, desert, forest caste [we need tree models with the correct copyright for this and a variety though], and such.

Please show screenshots if you have them [including works in progress] and tell how the flow of the map is and how teams attack and defend if in CTF.

I have played medeval dm-castle toen and skycastle. They were ok but not really castles mostly and were somewhat dissapointing though medeval has good flow for a normal medeval map. I also liked toen alot. Skycastle dissapointed me as it didn't have nearly the same feel as the Nexuiz map it's style was based on. Dm-castle was ok but many places were blocked and you couldn't get in so it felt unfinished and it is also unpolished. Are there any others anywhere? Is anyone making new castle and medeval maps?

An absolute castle with a big decent side courtyard (with tree's e.t..c) and one that looks smart would be great for DM...desert castle sounds interesrting for a fun map!

Well, over here in the PB Laboratories we are working on a time machine to go to a castle we purchased somewhere in the middle ages. Due to a misunderstanding of the hard-to-read middle-age latin writing in the contract, what we actually bought was a big pile of stone, and a few skulls and bones, so we have to build it from scratch. It is only partly completed, and discussion continues as to what it will look like...

Have you tried nordiccastle67.pk3 it is huge, about 42MB.

I'm sure you'll enjoy it, I certainly appreciated its artistic value.

It's far too big to play with and has some nasty traps
