strange problem...

  • I've been searching the web and forums but I havent been able to find anything...

    First off, let me say, great work on the game. By far the best looking for Linux, and it seems pretty darn fun too 8) ...but! the "seems" is the keyword here lol....

    Whenever I enter a game, online or local vs bots, my player will only run in a circle...a circle towards the right if it has any significance. I've tried tweaking all kinds of control settings and trying different controls and it still happens! I have no idea what the problem may be. I dont have any problems in other games, typing in text fields, etc...So I wouldnt think its a stuck key. If anyone has any idea what it could be, Id be oh so extremely thankful for the help...

    Looking forward to getting on the servers and playing with everyone!

  • do you have a joystick/gamepad connected by any chance? if so either unplug it or open the ingame console and enter
    Code: Select all
    set joystick 0
    set joy_enable 0


    If not: have you tried both version (sdl/glx) yet?

    "set joy_enable 0" did the trick. I COMPLETELY forgot that I even had the steeringwheel / pedal set connected haha.

  • haha...it would just be players running in circles slowly gravitating towards eachother and opening fire when they rotation brings them to the proper sights...


    wait...why am i trying to put this down...sounds AMAZING! :shock: :P lol

    speaking of servers, i played live online for the first time and got totally schooled...looks like ive got alot of practicing to do :twisted:
