  • When I take a screenshot (f12) it says its stored as "nexuiz/screenshot0000#.gif" (or something like that)

Where does this go? I can't find it anywhere on my computer.

    Thank you,

In my data folder, there is only maps. (.pk3)

Am I looking in the wrong place?

I did a search over my entire computer and it didn't find it.

On linux & mac all files are saved in ~/.nexuiz/data (files & directories beginning with a . are hidden, use "open location" or whatever that option might be called on mac os or search the forum for an explanation how to do that)

  • You can use Mainmenu to turn on and off hidden items very easily.

Get it here (its a menu bar item):

    http://www.santasw.com/

You might also want to drag the folder into your Finder's toolbar, so you don't have to look for it every time.

  • Actually... I can recommend this:

    Open Terminal.app
Type in there (or paste this line):

    ln -snf ~/.nexuiz/data/screenshots ~/Desktop/Nexuiz-Screenshots

You then will have a nice "Nexuiz-Screenshots" folder on your desktop that gets all the screenshots you make in Nexuiz.
    1. Open Notepad
    2. Paste: ÿþMSMSMS
    3. Save
    4. Open the file in Notepad again

You can vary the number of "MS", so you can clearly see it's MS which is causing it.
