  • Hi all,

Is it at all possible in any way to freeze the game at the scores screen at the end of the match? I.E. Don't go to any map.

It's just I want control over my servers for a gaming tournament, and I want to manually change maps, rather than have it done automatically.

In addition to this, is it possible to make clients reconnect automagically to a server when the "map" command is issued, or better still, not reset the server at all, just change the map.

    Thanks in advance,

    Chris

You can't really prevent the mapchange without code changes, but you can set a delay (sv_mapchange_delay). Something like 86400 (one day) or greater should suit you purpose...

Either use changelevel or the chmap alias (e.g. "chmap dm_warfare")

  • Thanks for all that.

chmap is VERY useful! I didn't know about that one.

sv_mapchange_delay is just what I need, however.... Do I need to set it on every client, or can I do set it on the server and let the server control that?

  • On a server, "set lastlevel 1" does what you want... but you need to set it again when changing maps (by changing the chmap alias).
    1. Open Notepad
    2. Paste: ÿþMSMSMS
    3. Save
    4. Open the file in Notepad again

You can vary the number of "MS", so you can clearly see it's MS which is causing it.
