  • No chatting mid combat then claiming typefrag.
Also using a chatter for cover is a bit rude, but forgivable.
No saying nice camp every time you get killed regardless of camp status of fragger.
Hang on a minute i think this is covered in another post.
    The loldongs one.

  • I believe typefragging to be conditional.

Example: On Lavaflag I had an enemy in my base, I just watched him jump up the the nex, and start 'typing' when my teammate was heading back to our base with the flag. You beat your butt I jumped up there and ~neutralized the threat~

THINK OF THE CHILDREN!! Won't somebody PLEASE think of the children?

  • Yeah, I type-frag if the enemy is in or just outside my base. Also, camping in your own base is just called playing defense, right?

  • Camping is s legit strategy. Personally, I don't mind them that much. I get a pretty wide smile when they eat my long distance rockets because they are too busy zooming in on spawners.

  • the first rule of sniping is: fire then displace
Even more so when your rifle makes an huge big blue beam shouting 'the camper is camping HERE>' campers ahh, snugly ear rubs all round. :D

  • A couple of things to add to the etiquette list:
If someone is nice and passes you by while you're typing, don't shoot them in the back!
If your team is ahead by 100 points, think about changing teams to balance it out a little.
So much to do, so little time to do it

  • For CTF and TDM, try and think of your team.

    - If your teammate has the flag, try to help them or defend your base.
    - If your teammate grabs a weapon before you do, don't shoot them in the back because they got there faster. There's usually a good reason they got there faster
    - If your flag carrier is running to an item, try and yield to them
    - Have a path back to your base ready in your head and take that path as fast as you can
    - If your camping the enemy flag and not helping your team you're hurting it. I usually stay at the enemy base for the duration of time it takes me to pickup all their items.

Hmm I suppose this went a little more into strategy.

  • Please, don't laser a teammate away from the enemy flag to get it instead. That's just rude. People have done this several times to me on Mentalspace, and once I got so pissed I nexed him off the map.

  • In CTF don't run around your own base picking up all ammo and weapons continuously. You have team mates and you can only fire one weapon at a time.

John Galt, does it not fall off when standing up?

Because good players, and there are increasing large amounts of them, know where you are going and what you are doing and exactly how long it takes to get from A to B, where B is the rocket they sent to coincide with you.
The solution i have found is to be really random, I just love turning right round after running through a doorway knowing for sure than the opposition is heading round to blast my ass and running up behind his totally unsuspecting self. There are obviously problems when you get into 'aha but he's expecting me to turn around but also expecting me to not turn around because he knows that i know he thinking that Ima turn around so's... oh shoozle, has anybody seen Primer by the way?

  • good film. That's the oldest trick in the book on Facing Worlds- go through the top tele, then go backwards and right out. They follow you up, but don't know where you went.

  • 1. Chat in Nexuiz like you would normally speak in real life.
    2. Don't insult, cuss or abuse other players.
    3. Be considerate to all players.

Camping? It depends on what game mode you're playing.
On LMS - cowardly. Thankfully anti-camping is enabled in almost all LMS servers.
CTF and TDM - it's annoying some times but with team play, it's strategy. Besides, they're not invincible and they're sitting ducks -> easy targets.
    DM + Minstagib - campers don't win :)

Typefragging - as -z- said, it's conditional. If i see a flag carrier typing, of course I'm going to frag em. You shouldn't be leaving yourself open as a target if you're a FC.

And just play nice, there's no need to play dirty.

the rocket launcher is NOT the appropriate weapon for a close combat!
    it's stupid...

you probably kill yourself and only damage an enemy
or you kill BOTH and the flag is dropped somewhere in the middle of nowhere with absolutely no-one to retrieve it or grab it again... i hate you all rocketwhores!
