I logged on to Nexuiz Standard for the first time in months - about six people playing. I offered a friendly 'what's up guys; it's been a while' and was a bit surprised to get a flood of "get the fuck out of here, fag" responses. This wasn't the NSD that I remembered, but I stuck around anyone because I was sick of Halo and wanted to get some Electro action.

Anyway, throughout the whole match on Running Man the whole group was flaming me nonstop unlike anything I'd seen in the game before, but I noticed that although they talked about kicking me no one called a vote. Turns out they were the lamest group of noobs I'd ever seen; didn't know how to call a vote, didn't know how to use splash damage or laser jump. It was hilarious. I'm nothing special in Nexuiz, but I pwned these people mercilessly - 20 to 8, and I started with only two minutes left to go, and the whole time they were saying these hilarious things like how they were going to cut my mom's throat if I didn't leave the server, etc. I kept laughing at them and they got more and more ridiculous. Then one said 'this is our server, we were here and then you came along and you're screwing things up.' I laughed and said that it was Nexuiz Standard and if they wanted to be assholes they should make their own server. After a couple matches they finally gave up and left.

I don't get to wipe up the floor very often - usually I'm dazzled by other players - but tonight felt good.

This means that the server admin isn't keeping a close eye on it's server. I can assure you, in case this was any of the RBI servers, those idiots would've been banned in no time.
Thank's to divVerent again, admining a server will become even more easier in 2.4, as long long awaited MASTER SLOT will be avaible (if I'm not mistaken)

Yeah I'm with c.brutail on this, we don't need these people, a like the Nex community as it is even if i am a bit of an assloe sometimes, at least i try not to be.
I never played cs online, but it sounds rubbish (the attitude part).

Well, better take it on the light side. As we move more into mainstream and thanks to our deal with Valve about getting on Steam I suggest we all should get a bit more relaxed.

No, a replacement for the extra slot has been coded: restricted rcon. Basically, a way to make a rcon password which can only execute a small list of console commands - like master, but requires no server connection.

CAPTAIN Brutail, it is presumable that Div0 will begin transcription of MSG_ALL server messages in addition to chat messages; as it would allow nearly remote administration, except for possible cases of cheating.

You can't. "Admin slots" simply wasn't viable, as most admins don't have a fixed IP which would make the administration quite difficult with that.

And you can turn on server-side demo recording. No need to spectate then - you can simply enable server side demos without anyone noticing, and get a demo from all players.
