  • Great history overview. :)

    Man I loved the old health boxes the game had until 2.1 - looked awesome. Like the new ones - fit much better in whole design and context.

    For normal red/blue see r_stereo<TAB> variables and for polarized see vid_stereobuffer which how ever needs special lcds or shutterglasses

  • Why is the 2.4 picture quality so low?
    And why has the quality of self-bump-shadowing degraded?

    Those old HP boxes do look really pwny. Didn't really fit the game though.

    1.5 was the first playable version imo.
    1.5 got "ready restart" feature so it could work in a ladder.
    1.5 got the "trueaim" - in previous versions you hit some units off to the right (or even meters if you stood far from target) :x

    Well what have you tried to make 2.4 run on your computer? I'm sure 2.4 can be faster if setup right. Basicly try to disable the 'Vertex Buffer Objects' and play around with 'OpenGL 2.0 Shaders' on/off..

    I don't understand :?

    I used the video effects Ultimate button and restarted the video with vid_restart.

    gl_picmip was at 1. Should it be another value? Don't forget I'm using a fairly old ATI 9550 on Kubuntu.
