I'm not sure who runs this server (Dave maybe?) but the last few days it's been very laggy for everybody who plays it, the pings are ok but it times out once in a while, It may just need a reboot.

I've recently noticed a problem occurring on this server. Every so often, it will slow to a crawl, like everything in in slow motion. It doesn't appear to be server lag, because it slows down gradually and then speeds back up gradually over maybe a 30 second period of time. It seems like it's some kind of script running to make the server slow down.

Anyone know who runs this? It's the same IP as the 1v1 ladder NY server.

Also, it would be cool if the server used one of the fbskins. I have a hard time seeing the other players on that server. :-/

about the fullbright thing: that server should have the aliases enabled so that you can vote for whatever color you like (e.g. vcall sv_defaultplayer_fbskin_orange)

It would be nice if at least the server had fullbright players, like many CTF servers do, rather than forcing a model. I would be fine with it either way, though. But people are often nearly invisible on these servers.

I talked a bit with Willis about this server. He said people have complained about the slowdown before and he thought he fixed it. He asked me to let him know if it still happens after he upgraded to 2.4.2 earlier this week. I just confirmed to him (in PM) that it is still happening.
