Lots of people describe the Nex as 'the Nexgun', but the game calls it 'the Nex', what do you call it?

As I've understood it, "Nexgun" is used to distinguish between the gun called the Nex, and the Quad/Strength powerup that some call the Nex.

Imho officially, it's "The Nexgun"
But players call it "The Nex"

The quad damage is called "Strenght"

As a side note:

I propose to change the name of the laser to "Nexgun". This will be confusing for a little while [orly?] but here's the reasoning behind it:

The laser is not appropriately named as we all know. But it is one of the defining weapons in Nexuiz, in fact it is a big contributor in making the gameplay unique. Laserjumping is one of the basic skills you need in this game. Therefor the Laser should be renamed to Nexgun. Now that I think of it, the functionality of the laser should be expanded, secondary fire should shoot blue dots that pull you. So that you can use it to climb walls in a different way then primary fire.

Also, yes, I do understand that this is not going to happen

kojnaimgun sounds like a respectable title in my oppinion.

I strongly support this idea. I've encountered several new0obleeorxorz referring to the Nex Gun as "Laser". Now that the Laser is called Nexgun, i suggest "Quazar" as a new name for the Nex.

I think we should just rename the laser to something else, I think the nexgun is a well-fitting name.

I call it the Nex, but a new name sounds good.
