I've been playing for quite some time, so I apologize for starting my first forum-thread with that sa(i)d subject.

I played this day on Standard Deathmatch NY under the nick '____', and 2 people accused me of aimbotting and whatnot.

So my questions are: Is this the usual way to greet people these days? And are they right or only annoyed that someone with a ping of 150-200 fragged them?

Standard online gaming logic:
If my opponent is much better than me, he's cheating.
If my opponent is a little better than me, then I'm not playing as well as I usually do.
If I'm better than my opponent, I fucking owned him and he sucks.

Butt's online gaming logic:
If I'm getting pwned, it's another usual day.

I'd say there are times when this topic comes up on servers more often.. For a long time it was rather quiet but a few days ago i also was accused and actually by a clan member of a respectable clan. I would not have expected such a thing from that guy/clan..
Basicly its just people that do not have a clue. Hell that guy did not even spec me or anything, just threw that word at me. How should one take such one serious? As long as there is no bad mood on the server afterwards just go on and go 'thanks, i'm so good others think i cheat'..

stfu esteel, we all know you're a cheater... We've seen tons of demos proving it, it's a shame that you still don't give up with it... Face it, your a lamer, and you'll never be able to play normally like the rest of us!!!

I have seen esteel play and he was not even trying to cover up his hacks what can we do about this?

Theres a rather simple thing to do in this case: do the HELL not participate in chatting. I've watched a old CTF demo of mine, and in it I got accused being gay)) (yes, by xsax), a fucker, bastard and whatever these persons came up with, and I didn't even notice that. Well, if I had noticed it I would have kicked the person who said that anyway, being server admin rocks.

Even I've been accused of cheating before, but the person was ignored since it was mostly cool folk on the server at the time.

We need a mute option. vcall mute xsax

Even me who barely knows what day it is gets accused for cheating by some rookies. However, not all of them are unfriendly and say "please don't cheat". This always touches my soul and I start talking to them, giving them some hints and advice.

I got accused of cheating, apparently i was using some kind of hack to move so fast (on reservoirnex map).

he said 'how do you move so fast if you don't hack', so i replied with 'redbull gives me wings'

I think he still thought i used hacks after that
