Recently I've been doing some exercises, like riding a home bike. Soon I had to realise it's not really fun, one can say it's pretty boring.
I tried to listen to music too, but that didn't do the magic. And suddenly, I had the idea: why not map a cool bicycle course in Nexuiz, record it, and play it a DVD player or so?

So I've done this:



Some of you have already seen a previous pictures on IRC.
It's a pretty basic map, the terrain was made in SavageX's ImgToMap tool. I've placed some trees,, made a basic bridge etc.
I've fired the map up in Nexuiz, recorded a demo, and after that, I've recorded it into avi.
The video is more then 7 minutes long, and it was over 9 gigabytes in raw avi

It's pretty boring, nothing serious happens, just a ride through of the map in crouch.
In case anybody is interested, I can make a pk3 of the map, and provide all the editing content I've used.

Great idea C. Brutail. It looks fun . I would be very happy if you created a pk3 for us.

I have to agree myself too. but I don't have a fully functional bike, and I don't have any time to repair it. (I used to bike a lot a few years ago, when I was at grammar school)
The other problem is, there are no safe bicycle roads or parks near where I live
