Hi all, firstly apologies if this is in the wrong forum.

This evening I was playing on DCC when some dude called 'The Best' (or something similar) accused me of being a 'racist and gay))'.

His reason?

Apparently being gay)) is 'unnatural' and pointing out that we share a common ancestry with apes is 'racist'.

How do I get this kickban lifted?

get a new ip

I think the ban is temporary, however I do not know how long it is. At least some servers has it, I believe DCC has it too but I could be wrong. We'll see what the others has to say.

He is just stupid and kickbans every player..

Kickban him back

Type: vcall kickban #<insertHisStatusNumber>
First type: 'status' in the console (bring it down with shift+esc).
You'll see his number then type:

vcall kickban #4 (if for instance his number was 4)
Bad people deserve bad treatment.

He keeps teasing people, every single time he joins. No exception.

He's on my list of people for whom I wish that their ISP disconnects them forever.

Maybe if he's French, they can disconnect him for piracy...

People like that dude make me sad though, as the bulk of Nexuiz players seem to be thoroughly good people who play fair. Certainly there's none of the really lame play that I used to see in Quake, DOD and DDay. Everything seems *friendlier* most of the time

And some of these are actually more entertaining than annoying, like XSAX LTU (see forum signature of MrBougo). Always using another nick, yet still easily recognized by what he writes. I MEAN YOU CANT MISS THAT))

I'm one of the admins of the DCC servers but we can't do anything on this issue. Such a temporary ban lasts 90 minutes iirc, so you either have to wait or get a new IP. I apologise for the trouble caused.

Can't you simply 'deactive' the command kickban?

Anyway, the ban isn't forever, but I hate such votes. (thanks for div for this 'votespam' system )

Sure you can remove the ban,but I'm not sure about the command atm.Iirc "cmd bans" lists the current ban list,ip addresses,and the time for the bans. Also,yes,there's a default ban time, 90 minutes,but a master can override that by setting it in seconds at the end of the command.
