Do you have models/player/specop.sounds?

I have specop.zym.sounds which has lines like this:

...


and the voice in that file (attack.ogg) is male one (r5020).

Odd, it is still a female one on my computer. Maybe Tenshihan changed the voice...

Anyway. We need to decide whether to make Specop male or female, and find someone to actually DO it. At the current state (after the skin edit), Specop is more female than male.

Who can actually edit the model? Morphed says he cannot, as moving vertices is only possible when rerigging the whole model. Either that is a blatant lie, or his 3D Studio Max isn't worth its list price at all. Maybe someone else with another app can do it... but it has to be able to open .smd.

Maybe svn hasn't logged that you changed sound files and it does not update my old ones. I'm gonna delete specop sounds and checkout new ones.

So, will Speckkopf be female again? i kinda liked the idea of a character changing its gender. You know, because open-source, free as in freedom, etc....

Specop is a monster alien of polymorph kind, which can change it's sex at will.

You mean the model or skin? I was going to try my stick at the skin but I thought someone already did it cause of this comment:

The model I haven't even touched I'm currently doing some other (Nexuiz) stuff but if no one has touched the this subject once I done with some projects I might take a stab at it.

I just have done it fast with GIMP. If you want to do it in a better way, please do so, as my skills in that area are very limited. See the screenshots I posted above.

OMFG - Hahaha, sorry about that one guys, ...see, I should NOT be editing anything when i'm deleriously sick with the Flu, ...but it's my habit/addiction to always be working on sounds, ...sometiumes I fall asleep and wake up at my studio-desk, drooling all over my equipment...LOL

I will have to get rid of taunt4 because that was obviously part of the female spec-op voice I tried out. Ultimately - her voice was too hard to understand in most of those recordings, ...except for THAT one - that is! Hahaha!

I will let you guys finish developing SpecOp, and THEN I will formulate the correct voice, afterwards.
