Movie - Fun with SVN Weapons

  • I've been playing on the Nexuiz Ninjaz CTF Light server lately and having loads of fun with the new weapons in SVN. Here's a movie with some of the hilarious frags I came up with while using the Grappling Hook and Port-O-Launch.

    For those who haven't played on SVN servers yet, the Grappling Hook is like the normal hook on +hook servers. However, it has a secondary fire which uses up 25 cells and acts as a gravity bomb. When you alt-fire, a grenade drops from your current position and explodes when it touches the ground. Those in range of the explosion are sucked toward it.

    The Port-O-Launch fires a capsule that creates an in-portal on the first surface it hits and an out-portal on the second surface it hits. You go in the in-portal and out the out-portal. What makes the Port-O-Launch loads of fun in CTF is that if you're carrying a flag when you go through a portal, you drop it.

  • Yeah but most of the things are avoidable. In actuality, he's using wise techniques with the new weapons that players haven't learned to defeat yet.

    Except the stripping your flag carrier of the flag. You should have at least let him grab it back and try.

  • This has already changed.
    1. Open Notepad
    2. Paste: ÿþMSMSMS
    3. Save
    4. Open the file in Notepad again

    You can vary the number of "MS", so you can clearly see it's MS which is causing it.

  • A video introducing the new weapons would be definitly great, but I don't see any H.L.A.C or Tag Seeker action in this movie :(

    Yeah, I haven't had any hiliarious or good frags with the TAG or HLAC. I'm working on it, though.
