I havent bought a Graficcard yet becouse i dont wanted to waste money for nothing becouse 1GHZ is - compared to the current PCs - slow.
I thinked that my CPU will slow down the new graficcard to much that i would not get a better fps or just 1 or 2 frames more.

What do you think, will be 1GHZ good enought to get (much) more FPS with a nv6600gt then an atiradeon32?

I have a 6600GT and my Athlon XP 2000+ bottlenecks my performance pretty heavily - I can play with high-end graphics settings on with few problems, but I still get low framerates because of what the CPU is handling, like AI. So it probably would bottleneck your performance to have a 1GHz CPU with a high-end card.

Well my P4ht 3,2GHz uses around 20-50% cpu without bots, Not sure if this can be compared to your P3 1Ghz. But you would gain from more graphic ram and i also think that your graphic card is very limited. Well i guess there are cheap 6600 non-GT cards available..
Here in germany one can give back items within two weeks.. Maybe you can test it?

Yes it will. The Radeon32 is a very weak video card. Almost everything should give You more fps than that.

On the other side it doesn't make too much sense to fix a 6600 into a 1GHz rig. Indeed the CPU would be quite a big bottleneck, and the cost of this card is about three times as much as Your whole PC is worth.

If I were You, I'd look for a used VGA such as a GF Titanium (3 or 4 series). Should be available for a few bucks on ebay.
