nexuiz demo movie creation help

hi, i am looking to create pro quality demo movie and would like suggestions to which software to use..i won quite a few of stuff already..compression? what config or settings in game to use. any and all info will be helpful.i do have some skills already with video production. any video configs for demo making? thanksHaVoC- HaVoC

Yes HaVoC, I can get you a video config, HaVoC take a look at http://kojn.mkzelda.net first and the file kojnFOTM-december.avi (I adjusted the colour to a blue tint in premiere) to see if this is something your looking for config wise.
That config might be quite useful for you (detail is only as max as my laptop can handle but settings for better detail are in the config), pavlvs has one also which might be useful for you I will ask him for you for it.:]

yea.i have seen pavls vid and was very impressed.was actually thinking bout talking to him bout configs and all. i'll look into this some more today.anxious to get started thanks again.HaVoC- HaVoC

Basicly i use ultimate settings with a few changes:
set cl_capturevideo_fps 200
set con_chat 0
set con_notify 0
set crosshair 0
set fov 90
set r_ambient 0
set r_bloom 0
set r_hdr 0
set showfps 0
set showtime 0
set r_shadow_bumpscale_basetexture 50
set r_shadow_bumpscale_bumpmap 40
200 fps for a movie is way too much, but helps with motion effects and smoothing the movie when encoding, the rest just disables some stuff you normally do not need in movies.. and it enables some insane bumpmapping, i generally like the effect on maps, just the electro looks bad with that..-

thanks esteel and z for youre help. i am gonna try these configs and experient for what works for me. i dont have the greatest vid card atm for ultimate settings,but im sure i can get some really good quality vids soon.HaVoC- HaVoC

That does not matter if you use the Nexuiz way of doing a movie (cl_capturevideo and a demo) .. if your gfx card is slow it will just take a lot of time and the sound will sounds strange during capturing, but the created movie will be perfect. Well of course if you gfx CAN'T do some of the effect then your video will not have them.. but speed is absolutly no issue if you have patience
