No, I'm not surprised, too.
But additionally I'm not disappointed, as well.
I happy they do their jobs right. Even if we wait now we will surely get a stable version (a state some oss projects never reach (no offense)) everyone can be happy with. So it's worth waiting.
They do it for free, they do it for us.
I'm glad they are there.

ok there 2 sides of this. I, like you all, am very disappointed as well. But the other side is the guys have all been working hard to get it out and test and test and change and test and change. Now at the end of the day it will come out with no bugs or anything. Is that not worth the wait?
I take my hat off to the guys (developers and co) that work so hard to get the release out. Ye sometimes things dont come out in time but we all know you trying your best and we appreciate it. Thanx guys.-
