Nexuiz 2.5 Screenshots and Video wanted!

Nexuiz 2.5 Screenshots and Video wanted!

  • Before we can release 2.5 we need new screenshots for the site!

    If you have 2.5 beta or a recent SVN build take a high-quality screenshots and post here.
    It would be great if it featured new maps, models and different gamemodes.
    Someone can try make a video also to highlight new features etc.

    This is similar to what we did for 2.4, and we got a lot of GREAT screenshots

    2.5 is an important release and we NEED you to help make it a great success! :D

  • So just another excuse so we can delay the release AGAIN?

    When WILL we release?

    We can't release today, as it's April Fools Day.

    We can't release later either, as the file is already on sourceforge and the file name is take now, but on the other hand, the pk3 file name says 20090331 that is "March 31, 2009".

    What are we doing now? Are we crazy? I think we killed the version number 2.5 now.

    So we're delaying this release indefinitely until someone made a video? That's insane, making such a video takes months - and in the meantime, others demand features all the time that need testing too, and cause further delay.

    Anyway, making some screenshots. But please make it so we still can say we have released on March 31, and it was just the website stuff delaying "making public the release".
    1. Open Notepad
    2. Paste: ÿþMSMSMS
    3. Save
    4. Open the file in Notepad again

    You can vary the number of "MS", so you can clearly see it's MS which is causing it.

  • No. The file on sf is good and done imo. Currently hidden.

    But we need the site to be prepared for 2.5 first before we release it to the world.
    This is unfortunate. WE SHOULD HAVE THOUGHT ABOUT THIS BEFORE.

    I bet we can come up with good screenshots for the site.
    And release 2.5 tomorrow possibly.

    The video is not doable before the release imo. And yes, we can't delay it more.
    But I do believe the site must be done first.

  • Dont forget to add some FIRST PERSON screenshots, so everyone can see e.g. a new weapon on first person. I may take some photos when I find the time.

  • Sev, I like that capture the flag a lot. Only 1st person view with blue gun is missing and all red enemies should be carrying crylinks. :D

  • Those screenshots are awesome, but I think no one is suitable for the home page. The shot "sev_warfare02.jpg" is really close imho. Maybe we should stage one, perhaps a player very close to the camera wearing a nex, with a nice map as background is the best I can think of right now.
    I will try to provide some screenshots tomorrow.

  • Release date is set for tomorrow (2009-04-03).

    So the new site with new screenshots must be done today.
    [-z-] is the man in charge in that department.

    I think I'll stage some with ai today if he has time. Some portals on stormkeep maybe :)

  • Someone please deliver 12-18 screenshots to me. Optionally, we post links to more galleriess of images if you'd like...

    I really don't have the time to sort through images though.

  • Okay well now we have no video on the homepage because people were offended by comments on slashdot... so we'll probably be staring at screenshots for the next few weeks... one of which has a "29 fps" in the bottom right hand corner so... FLAME ON, GO NEXUIZ!!!!!!!!!!!


    Can someone just make a simple video? Jesus christ, it's like a 2 hour project.

  • About the video: okey, enough from messing, i will make it, just upload the videos of cortez to an ftp, tell me which music to use and give me 3 days. If the videos are not recorded yet, use ntsc standards for size and fps when recording plz. :P I wanted to apply it for 2 days, but my isp was screwing with me, i hope now i will have proper connection...
