  • My friend has a mac and I have a PC. The only game that we have found that works on PC and Mac, is Nexuiz. I have urged him to get bootcamp, but he doesnt want to pay for it, so now I have to ask around to see if we could play together. I don't like macs, one reason being that they can't play good games! besides Nexuiz =)

  • I just downloaded the new Nexuiz 2.5, but again, just like 2.4, I'm having problems opening the ZIP folder. I have winzip AND 7-zip, and neither can open it. The install directions in the FAQ section doesn't help. I know you guys have probably helped 500 people install by now, but I need help. jeez...why can't the Nexuiz install process be as easy as the macs?

  • Hai. Use bittorent to download, since it does a checksum so it makes sure the download is "allrighty". Here the direct link: Torrent file

  • I have Utorrent, but i just downloaded directly to my desktop. I have a "nexuiz-25" ZIP and its 295 MB (309,332,120). I guess it didn;t finish correctly, even though my internet connection....wait. My connection from my router restarts at 5pm, 7pm and 12am. I'll redownload now before my download becomes interupted by a restart. Don't ask me why this happens, my dad tweaked with the linksys time limitations to my internet, but i can live with the restarts. I'll get back to you after I redownload.

  • The torrent download or the ZIP from sourceforge. I dont use the torrent very much and am pretty nooby at it, I always do downloads directly to my computer.

  • For some reason when I DL'd 2.4 and 2.5 both, the first time I used the zip, it said it couldn't open, but I just DL'd it again and it worked fine. Of course I think I moved the .download file from Downloads to the desktop both times it failed, so that may have something to do with it, although I don't think it usually has an effect when I do things like that.... I'm on a Mac, though, so I'm not sure if it's related. But like I said, I don't think moving the file is what broke it, I think it's just something to do with the actual file...

For those wondering, a .download file is a Safari download temporary file, which holds all the download's contents for easy resuming of paused downloads.

  • torrent or sourceforge should not really matter.. also some browsers let you restart stopped downloads. Or use some download program like wget or curl (or something similar for windows) Those will contine downloads for sure.
