Is there any command or button to stop a download when you are connecting to a server?

curl --cancel
should be the right command

Another, perhaps easier to remember would be stopdownload.

Actually i do not see a reason for it. Usually its good if downloads continue even when you disconnect from a server because at some point you will have to download/finish the file. And quiting nexuiz also cleanly stops the download
