The Nexuiz Tuba Orchestra - Live Premiere

  • The premiere of the Nexuiz Bot Orchestra will start at Saturday, 17:30 UTC and take about 20 minutes.

    I think up to 16 people can watch.

    The server will be rm.endoftheinternet.org:26000 (my CTF one). The stage will open 10 minutes before the start of the concert so you can get there before everyone starts. There is no entry fee.

    2. Paste: ÿþMSMSMS
    3. Save
    4. Open the file in Notepad again

    You can vary the number of "MS", so you can clearly see it's MS which is causing it.

    Btw, the beeps in the chat could ruin the show... is it possible to hear the orchestra but not the beeps?

  • the analogy would be "people talking/shouting during an IRL classical concert".

    What do we do against that? Ha, I know, we need one admin, a MIB, who "escorts" such people out of the concert hall. YAY

    Edit: I suggest that this MIB gets the nexgun, while all spectators do not have weapons and do also not respawn when killed by the MIB.

    Also there's mute feature (I think) to make everyone be quiet.

  • There is a mixer setting turning off chat beeps. I'll use mapinfo to temporarily configure the client volume nicely.
    1. Open Notepad

    Btw, do the players have to be specs, or can they actually "sit down" somewhere and enjoy their time (cleaning the weapons while listening) or something :)

    Well, I think the point of Open Arena was so that it had full compatibility with Q3A mods, not so much to replace it altogether.

    Neat little concept. I think it would have been more kick ass if they focused more on making it an original game instead of a free knock off. Nexuiz and Wesnoth are definitely open source at their best with Nexuiz kicking the crap out of the all so disappointing UT3 and only really having the first UT challenging it as far as being the best of it's kind out their.

  • I needed SOME way for the players to move...

    Well, ideally, the map should be made so neither JP nor laser are necessary :P

    Maybe next concert we'll have a good map for that.
