Hey guys, I've been playing Nexuiz since the beginning of May and of course I think it's awesome! I just joined the forums today. Anyways, I was bored and I made a short Nexuiz promo video and uploaded it to YouTube! Check it out HD here!

That's a really cool video, only thing missing is some (=a lot of) in-game action, then it would be perfect

Yeah, that would be rad. I don't have a screen capture program good enough for that, though. It sux!

You can capture to video directly in nexuiz

It's best to capture while playing back a demo of course, that way you can use best visual settings without any problems with fps when you watch the exported video.

Open console and type:

cl_capture

then press Tab to see all commands related to capturing. You can set video resolution, fps, etc.

Why don't you rename it to "How to install Nexuiz on Mac" ?

I'd make the installation part a bit shorter and have the music start (or slowly blend in) on the in-game shots.

actually, the creator of one of them just moved to from the App Store and set up shop in Cydia (the jailbreak app store)..the previously US$2.99 version of the app is now free..and i love it. so really, apple just lost revenue. who's getting kicked now?

wait...did he put nexuiz.app in his applications folder? no no no...this isnt even a proper installation guide..create an alias and move THAT to applications..otherwise, it wont be able to find any of the necessary files!

i play it on a mac and it runs just fine thank you.

anyway, so when pulling nexuiz to Applications, isn't there a key you can hold to create an alias anyway? Maybe you could blend in a key symbol for that?
(I wouldn't know, as the only thing "apple" I have is a wireless keyboard - which is quite nice btw.)

anyway, I never launch nexuiz from the finder anyway. i usually just launch it from the dock.

well, depending on what file you stick in the dock that may or may not work. as long as you leave the app in the folder with all the files it will work fine in the dock. if you do like in this video, launching from the dock still wont work...

i gotta see if there is an alias shortcut key...although in the video there was no alias symbol on the icon...

indeed there is! hold option while moving a file will copy it to the new directory, while holding command and option will create an alias...i learned something today!
