As an nexuiz addict, I find myself craving demos from time to time. I found an old thread, but links was borked and so on. RIP thread.
Lets start fresh and new, out with ze old in with ze new!

SIMPLE RULES:
1: Use a reliable file upload site: Box.net, drop.io, OmpLoader.
2: Must contain at least a bit of awesome!

FAQ:

How do I play demos?
Look in the demo menu pick the demo and press play. Or by writing in the console
" ply demos/filename_of_the_demo ". You can also use tab, so you dont need to write the whole demo name.

I can record demos?
Why yes, look in "multiplayer - demos" and check the "Record demos while playing".

How do I find my demos?
Look in " ~/.nexuiz/data/demos " on linux/OSX or " Nexuiz\data\demos " on windows.

Should I be afraid of showing my fail?
NO! I look forward to post some of my fails. We all learn by fail!

Why should I share, my game style/soopersekrits with other players?
Well, I for one, would like to see lots and lots of players, that advances and kicks my ass, so that I, in return, have to adapt.
Not victims and the same old players all the time. I say, Open source game, open sourced players!

How do you edit Demo files? They can get pretty huge...

You can't.

The only thing you can do is adding slowmo commands at some time marker to "cut" the demo, using demotc.pl.

I have added a Txx_xx, that indicates minutes and seconds where the fun stuff is, so you just can look at the timer, fastforward with "slowmo 20" and then "slowmo 1" for normal speed and record. Have fun!

There's some bug in one of my un-clean SVN checkouts that causes the minstanex to reload like the campingrifle.. I have no idea what's causing it, but it doesn't happen to a clean checkout. Basically, it's my fault SOMEHOW. Epic, yes?
