Well, I'm bothered by the quite long amount of time that is needed to switch weapons in Nexuiz and I'd like to half this time (which is set to 0.3 by default) to 0.15 seconds. Please note that the weapon won't really switch within 0.15 seconds then either because there's an additional small amount of lag (it takes at least 2 additional server frames to switch the weapon)

You can try in a local game how it feels to play with lowered amount of weaponswitch delay by setting the g_balance_weaponswitchdelay variable to 0.15.

This is our chance to get the reduced switch-delay value into Nexuiz by default as there's going to be a Nexuiz (Bugfix-)patch soon anyway.

Yes, this is just what Nexuiz need! I have allways thought that the delay was to long.

I don't think it has been tried much, but you should just try it locally by starting a server ("create game") and set the cvar then
