  • Is there a way to find out the number of votes per map on a server? Then I can figure out which maps I should probably remove from the server because they aren't getting played.

If not, then I'll submit this as a feature request.

No no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no.
    (can't insist enough)

People don't try other maps when mentalspace/facing worlds/greatwall/whatever stupid map is in the choice list.
Removing maps will only make these "popular" maps appear even more on the voting list, and you'll get even more maps that don't get played.
    Meh.

  • or...

I could switch out the thumbnail for the map.

    or...

I could rename the map to something more recognizable instead of the typical cryptic names that Nexuiz maps tend to have.

There is a lot that I could derive from such numbers. I might find out that most of the maps that aren't chosen are ones that have cryptic names (nex-ctf-sb343d_q2-b1)

I would just like to find out which maps are being picked and which ones aren't so I can do something.

  • Well in that case you can track the played maps, parsing server logs...
The server doesn't output the vote counts for the maps, though, maybe that's what you want to know...? Or is it something else?
    Meh.

  • when eventlogs are enabled, it actually DOES display the amount of votes for a server. You could easily parse your server logs or use an rcon2irc plugin to display this. In fact this functionality is already in rcon2irc by means of the rbiserver.pl.
