I've had a number of problems since upgrading Nexuiz 2.5 and above. First and foremost I move like I've got an anchor tied to my ass. It's not quite as bad as slow motion but almost. Additionally it seems like there is a lag between when I shot and when the weapon I am carrying fires. Thirdly the screen will suddenly go blank, then reappear, in a smaller frame, and I can't do anything. Also sometimes the screen goes black and I have to close out Nexuiz on the task-bar and restart it. Needless to say these problems have greatly reduced my enjoyment of the game.
I deleted Nexuiz 2.5 and downloaded Nexuiz 2.5.2 but that made no difference.
Any help I could get would be greatly appreciated!!

Since posting this I have played Alien Arena extensively without any problems just to rule out a video card problem. Since I have already deleted and reinstalled Nexuiz ending up with the same problems I'm stumped!


OK, the heck with it I solved it myself with a work-around. For anyone having this problem here is the solution I came up with. I opened the Win.exe file in the Nexuiz folder with Wine (instead of the nexuiz-linux.sdl.sh or the nexuiz-linux.glx.sh). It not only solved all my prblems (I move like a jet and no more sudden shut-downs) but for some reason the clarity and the colors are better than I've ever had them and I've been playing it for a year now.
