First post, I know. It's lame to plug things in your first post, but some of you might know me from HOCTF games/IRC ect..

[-z-] recently donated http://nexuizclans.com to myself. I've relaunched it with Wordpress MU. This will allow any clan to register and have their own clan/team blog on nexuizclans.com

Nobody has signed up yet! So all sub-domains are currently available! Grab yours before someone else does!

I've capped the space for each blog at 50mb. That should be plenty for some screenshots/demos ect.. If you need more space let me know.

This is my way of giving back to the Nexuiz Community. Any criticism or ideas = welcome.

Also, I've launched a new site [url]NexuizFiles.com[/url] which is an example of what Wordpress can do!

I kinda dislike limits to usernames, minimum should be two characters. Because of such restrictions, I cannot register. I only have two letters, and wanna keep it like that.

But would be nice if such a site would to bloom.

Relaunch only lasted 4 days

"Certain" people did not approve of the plans I had for nexuizclans.com and consequently caused me to lose interest completely in this project.

If said people were not so power hungry and ego-centric, this project could have really helped stabilize the Clan community.

To everyone who was behind me on this, Thank you.

To the few who opposed, GOOD LUCK building any kind of community with that sort of attitude.

well.. biggest, strongest, loudest features/culture, being the less ass = greater man, wins this battle.
so if you believe in this and have a "better" attitude (that last further than 4 days/engulfs the better of the community than the fews pride/will) than whatever ehm.. alternative yadda yadda, learn from history, simply tell the opposition to shove it, man up and go for it!

In Nexuiz there are no comforting death.

On the other hand nice stuff can happen in the spirit of ubuntu/cooperation, than fussing and fighting.

I'm going against your suggestion to shut it down and I've decided to re-launch my efforts. I don't own the domain name, so you'll have to convince the owner that my site is as damaging to the community as you made it out to be.

anyway, the only critiques I have to offer are regarding aesthetics. nexuiz clans, to be brutally honest, looks like a product of microsoft paint. nexuiz files is better but my first thought was "holy shit, visual overload"; it's slightly overwhelming. the looks of the web sites probably aren't a high-priority matter but I'd be willing to help with some graphics and maybe stylesheets.

I hope clans jump on this as a resource. I have a feeling that hosting them alongside one another (especially if users can post to other clans' sites with limited privileges) will revive the community in much the same way nexuiz ninjas did before it fizzled out.

I'll admit I'm not the best designer. This was thrown together in about an hour honestly. If you'd like to design something I'll gladly collaborate. Any CSS/Photoshop ideas are welcome and appreciated.

edit 2 ** I've added a lot of user-related features to the homepage that will now begin to integrate the player-base. You can add a "group" for your clan and send messages to other clans/members easily. I've opted for a lighter design.
