i'm trying to set time in deathmatch mode but with no success
i like to make a play match just 10 mins how do i do?

There are two ways. Either you set the variable timelimit_override to 10 (and if you want to NOT have a frag limit set the variables fraglimit_override to 0). Both are accessable via menu unless you use a dedicated server.
Or you can create a own config file for the maps you want to play. For example if you want to play the map toxic in TDM mode create the directory Nexuiz/data/maps and there you create a file tdm_toxic_my.mapcfg with this content:

set fraglimit 0
set timelimit 10
changelevel toxic

Alternatively you can just start the map you want to play, then open the console (by pressing '^' (on windows)) and type

fraglimit 0
timelimit 10

If you want to have it more permanent follow esteel's instruction, as the default-values (timelimit 15 iirc) will be restored after a map-change.
