Just dropping a line to say Im having a lot of fun in Nexuiz. Thanks to the admins for letting me play on their servers, and the pointers from [o] lately. It really is a pleasure getting whomped by some of the brightest players, and rewarding to see improvement in myself as well as learn who's who.

Welcome to this forum and to Nexuiz! When I started to play, I didn't have a clue about many tricks you can do in this game. After half a year of playing or so I came across this thread: viewtopic.php?f=11&t=1344, which ironically is called "what I wish someone told me half a year ago". I must say, it really helped me a lot. So in case you haven't read it yet, I'd strongly recommend it to you.

Of course the hints contained therein come also with the game (I think it is called "basics.html" or so), but it honestly didn't occur to me to RTFM of a game. Bo)

Edit: Oh, and there are some really useful video tutorials made by our dear fellow GreEn'mArine, that show advanced stuff like circle jumping and ramp jumps. They are really top quality videos, I'd say they are a must-see, especially the most recent two episodes. You can find them here: http://www.youtube.com/user/NexuizInDepth

Another Edit: just noticed, that the thread "what I wish someone told me half a year ago" is a bit outdated, so you may want to go directly to http://svn.icculus.org/*checkout*/nexui ... asics.html, which should be the current version.
