  • Thanks, but I want to create a public server like the servers in the server list, and I can only create a local server.
    How can I make my server public?

  • Really hope it's a professionally hosted dedicated server. As it seems right now we don't have any big need for new servers, and especially not servers hosted on a random DSL line on someone's PC. The server list is littered enough as it is, with many badly hosted and/or old servers. (<caps> why the hell do people still play on and host 2.4 (and even 2.3) servers??? </caps> Thank you very many for your awe-inspiring motivation you are giving the devs)

    Anyway, if you have a good connection with good latencies, and especially if hosting in an area that doesn't have many servers from before, then I suppose it's a good idea. :)

    Actually, we do. We need a CTF-server with standard settings (NOT minstagib) and a large and varied selection of maps. There are only 2-3 active non-minsta CTF servers that I know of and as far as I can tell, they host the same two dozen maps. There's more map variation on the minsta servers, but I don't like minsta. :|

    (but then maybe I'm the only one that feels this way)

    No, you're not the only one ;) It's sad to see the variety of maps on US CTF Servers and play maybe 10 maps on DCC or Simba for moths.
