Where to rent a dedicated Nexuiz server

  • I was looking to rent a Nexuiz server as I can't host it behind my firewall, and didn't want to add to the list a half decent server anyway.
I'll be running the latest versions.
I googled: nexuiz dedicated server rent and about all I found http://main.jestservers.com/ under Serious Sam HD for some reason lol.
Anyone have a server with them or know about them? I was trying to get something cheaper too, how much resource do Nexuiz server use?
    Thanks all!

  • If you know how to administrate servers via ssh, you can always go the VPS route. You can probably find one with ~384-512mb of RAM and a decent processor for ~$10-15 USD a month and that should be enough to run a 4v4-8v8 server pretty well.

There are a few things that you should note:

    - Maps are loaded into RAM, so the more maps you have loaded, the bigger the memory footprint.
    - The more players, the more CPU is used.
    - You should use a different server for hosting maps

  • Thanks!
Do you have any VPS you would recommend?
I don't know how to use SSH though lol, I can learn.
