  • I'm sure i'll regret it but i better inform you that Nexuiz will be on TV tomorrow 27.07.2006 between 22:00 and 23:00 cet. A rerun of the show is scheduled for 01:00 the next day or 2 hours later. It will be featured on Giga (http://giga.de). Nexuiz co-lead mapper Strahlemann and i will appear on the show and try to make a good impression ;)

    so they finally answered. congrats ! this will be the first time in ages i'll turn on my tv again.
    have to spread the word... :D

    edit: for the fame and glory of strahlemann+esteel i'll record it and post a link for download here in the forum afterwards, so noone has to be sad about not having time to see it :wink:

    That would be great. I cannot see the show, because GigaTV is not transmitted on DVB-T.

    well, Daedalus and me experienced there's a live stream on giga.de, so there must be another reason for you to go there, haha!

  • I'm very exceited to see that, really!

    And by the way, this show is in german. And this event is supposed to promote Nexuiz (in a positive way), and what could be better than to have developers (who are good players at the same time) available who explain and demonstrate the game ?

    Btw. it's very likely that we don't show up between 22-23 but between 23-24. (cause it's quake engine and stuff and blood and gore and the small nintendo kids should not see that. and as everyone knows, these kids go to bed at 23'o clock and it's ok to show nexuiz later ;))

    I'm planning on ripping it (already setup a cronjob ;)) and will probably reencode it to something more portable...

  • Would be nice.. tried to wath the show this night but mostly it end up in stills..... "128KB/s are not enough anymore for everyone" :(

    Strange... According to mimms that stream has less than 90kB/s

  • It's very laggy the longer it plays..... don't know if it's my ISP or my mplayer (any special options?)
    If it lags the connection speed goes down to 56KB... probably it's server overloads.... dunno

  • as Green mentioned, the show is in German. Would anyone be willing to make a transcript of the show? (or better yet, subtitles, or even those picture dialogs that the Sims characters have)

  • lol, avi means nothing (it's just a container for audio/video content), so no1 can answer whether "avi" is okay. maybe you could supply the codec you would use.

    Due to the fact that the show is coming so late I doubt that I will keep up until it comes, so I hope someone will record it ;O

    That really would be nice, as i have an exam tomorrow at 7.00 so i doubt i will see it live.

    i can translate it into english, although it'll take some time, depending on how long the show is. maybe someone could include the translations as subtitles later on.

    edit: as already mentioned, i'm going to record it as well, so don't be afraid guys, everyone will be able to see it :wink:

  • I'll record too... but as for subtitles... maybe I'll do them fast and with crappy timing :P
    1. Open Notepad
    2. Paste: ÿþMSMSMS
    3. Save
    4. Open the file in Notepad again

    You can vary the number of "MS", so you can clearly see it's MS which is causing it.

  • I am curious on how do u want to present Nexuiz gameplay. Will u both play a 1on1 or a LAN game where u show the GIGA guys how to play properly? Or do u even plan to play on a FFA server? In the last case u could mention this here, to be sure that u wont have bad luck and exactly than there are only few players online. But i guess u will go for one of the first two anyway... :)
