New mod - Enstagib

  • the problem as i see it is the new players arent used to it and the experienced players own too easily. the mix of electro + rocket + instagib is a bit confusing. also the secondary fire is just annoying while the minstagib laser solution would be very convenient, 'cause nobody uses the laser the way it is now. :(

    im just so picky because i like the mod (guess why) and am really fond of your work! :P

  • big damage radius + damage through walls = a bit too easy

    All you have to do is aim for someones ankles in an enclosed space and you kill them. Having said all that, I love the playing the mod. :D

  • iirc the damage radious is vanilla nexuiz rocket, that's why you find it a bit confusing. I want to keep the balls for the secondary, as they look very funny, and I wanted to have something special. And about the laser, most of the players I think doesn't even recognise that they have it. But that's another problem. Maybe when I'll have some more time, I'll rework the mod a litlle bit, adding some motd that explains the whole idea.

    @esteel: no, I think you have all noticed yet that he combo explosion is different too. I'll make some hq shots on my new pc asap. :)

  • today, i've done enstagib in qc...

    set g_enstagib 1 to enable it ;)

    now there's no fall damage, no lava damage... only electro damage...


    i have still some changes to do... all parameters have to be cvars.
    i can put set the secondary fire in cvar (secondary electro or laser) if you want


    i'll give the source when it'll be done... :wink:




    you can test it on batserver ;)

    Have you used the latest version fire rates and stuuf for default settings? I don't know wether the NSB server still uses the old values, but the old versions just sucked (yeah, you all were right about that :) )

  • i've used the latest version (i think) and set g_balance_electro_secondary_refire to 1

  • I know this is a really old thread, but...


    Enstagib is my favorite mod for Nexuiz, and it runs like crap with the newer versions of Nexuiz. (can't jump, alt-fire 'rocket jump' broken)

    I'm currently running Nexuiz 2.2.2 just to play enstagib. Is there anyoen still working on or playing enstagib?
