This is a split-off of the Lightning Gun thread. I was thinking it would be nice to be able to adjust secondary fire mode to what you want, like combining Nex and Laser or Hagar and Grenade Launcher or Uzi and Rocket Launcher. Or just replacing weapons. One word: Heavy Laser Assault Canon. Would this be possible?

I think that'd remove the strategy from the game, because you could combine weapons that would normally take time to switch to. Like a Nex/RL hybrid - firing a rocket and shooting nex rails with one weapon would be total overkill. It could be fun for a mod, but not so much for the main game.

apart the fact that you couldn't detonate your rockets in this precise case :p ... i agree with shoe about the concept

couldnt that be solved with a slower refire? i must say id really like that. not only because it would allow for the HLAC to be included...

Nothign happend to it, its still lives where where it was born. In the abandoned tmod

I do not think this is a good idea.. Those things are different weapon modes not just firemodes.. To be able to fire a nexray and throw a mortar with the same gun destroys the balance. That thing would be the ultilmate killingmachine .
Just bind all the wepaons to different keys so you can switch between them fast enough and maybe the 'last weapon' function too.

And on the other hand its currently very very hard to realize something like this as everything is done server side..

i just want the hlac...
