But I think nobody is a pixel freak like me! Change your Nexuiz Settings: NO Effects, 16-Bit Colours, 800x600 resolution and then Play with the Name "UnnamedSoldier" (like the "new" Ego Shooters)... or with your Nick "Tenn" or something else

And if you make a 20 frag round youre ruling oO... but thats funny, to see pixel rockets flying in the air and explosions like the early SNES Shooter games....

AND if you play Nexuiz 1.5 on a 1,2ghz iBook with only 256 ram and NO mouse (no usb mouse) you can tell, youre a very freaky freak ... ...just that part to me...

Yes, but I hate xFire science i played Nexuiz the first time, because they idiots didnt support it!!!!!!!!!!
Therefore i played cs 1.6 or css at least 40 hours in a week, but then i found nexuiz in google and the rest is popular xD

To echo everyone else, yeah, the game rocks. Now that 1.5's out and I no longer suffer from frequent glitches, I can't get enough fast-paced frag fests. I'm looking forward to Zymotic.

I also just wanted to say how much I appreciate all the effort. Having a completely free, quality shooter is really great. I can't think of any other game project on this scale that has everything GPLed. I realize it's a huge collaboration from everyone on the nexuiz team to LordHavoc with the darkplaces engine. I don't think the devs in free software community get nearly the credit they deserve, but many of us do appreciate all the work, thanks.
It's truly a game I can enjoy and feel good playing. (being the free software zealot that I am )

If the old board still existed, I would point you to my post that basically said the same thing . I've started recommending Nexuiz to people I know. It's the best fps I've ever played, and I've played them all.

So I also say it here again.
I love this game, it´s real fun.

On the current maps, a wallhack isn't much of a use.

Unless the cheater is doing things that are really obvious... but a spectator can easily find out that. I once made a demo of obvious wallhack behavior... maybe it still works: http://mensa.ath.cx/~polzer/temp/taigtsawh.dem - The Absolute Idiot's Guide To Spotting A WallHack, to be put in ~/.nexuiz/data/demos/ and played with "ply taigtsawh". It's fun to play this demo both with and without a wallhack... but I should not write here how to use a wallhack with DarkPlaces. Maybe I will render this to a video with wallhack enabled some time.

I think it generally involves a sledgehammer. A big one.

Nexuiz is heaps of fun and back to game play instead of graphic bling like a lot of 2003-2006 games .

I love that Nexuiz isnt on Console and it hasnt got a sp story line mode
