OK. I have a alpha of my map ready but... I need to find a place to host it. It is a little weighty at 15.8 mb. Basically this is all that is holding my map from being test-released.
(THis is that terrain map I have ready)

You can either mail me the file (kadaverjack (at) planetnexuiz (dot) de) or use a filehoster like http://rapidshare.de/
(in case of the email, you would have to split the file, most mailserver don't allow messages larger than 5 or 10MB)

Note that the map has to be accessible directly using HTTP for it to be downloadable in game, so Rapidshare would be out.

However, there are some map pack repositories and if you send a map to KadaverJack or to me (write "rezlop" backwards, then AT informatik DOT uni-frankfurt DOT de), we'll put it on our map and game servers. In my case, it would appear on http://141.2.16.3:7780/nex/maps/inofficial/

OK, I guess I'll go through KadeverJack then. What is your email cutoff? Since I woud most likely use my gmail I have 10 mb limit. Also, what is your prefered compression format? Through 7zip I managed to cut it down to only 2 mb!

I've set the mailserver to accept up to 25MB, just in case...
And 7zip is pefect, since it's open source and there is a linux client available

What do you all think of http://www.Wikispaces.com ? (2 GB free space)
