Why does one's heart bet after death?

Its a sign that Nexuiz players are so full of strength and power they refuse to die.. and voila they respawn

Well ask that the open quartz guy as those gibs are from them. The old gibs have had toooooooooo many polygones and were a huge slowdown so they had to be replaced and its hard to find free stuff like this. I still think its funny

Oh I think it's because these warriors honour their past. The hearts of the enemies in Blood continued to beat (and burn ) and could be collected as 'life essence' while the gibs are a must if you want to be charismatic. Even Bones has them in Quake 3, no one will ever love you and you will never fulfill your true destiny if you have no fleshy gibs .
