Thanks for the hint. I corrected what i noticed but the whole thing is a bit chaotic. I will have to clean it some time. Feel free to help me! Clean parts of it and mail them to me.

You need to register anyway to add pages. Im not too savvy with Wikispaces yet so i want to get around first and will unlock it later. Alternatively you can edit the Random Stuff page on my amoebios space.

Update:
i changed the wiki status from "protected" to "public". Now everyone can EDIT existing pages, but you can NOT CREATE new pages yet. However, the staff is working on it. Lets hope they get it done soon.

I'd like to do a step-by-step for anyone who thinks "gee, I would like to operate a Nexuiz server. How do I do that?". What esteel provided is a good starting point, but it is not everything you need to know to setup a Nexuiz server. I found that I needed to search for more information and ask more questions in order to really get the server up and running.

As i understand it everyone that is REGISTERED at wikispaces can edit and create pages, and people that are NOT can only change pages that already exist and are PUBLIC.

Also i want to make clear that every copy of the server setup guide is one more place thats potencialy old as i (because of time restraints) can only update the one in the forum. If i could i would also update the german one hosted at planetnexuiz.de but right now only Greenmarine can do so. I can unlock the thread if people want to add something to it. It was just locked as some people tried to start a discussion in the thread.
Well i did not notice so much stuff you asked, to me it just seems it was not explained good enough in my posts. The fullbright items were explained, the maplist too.. what else was missing and how to make it clearer?
And yeah my guide was tailored towards people that already know a bit about servers.. but i think we can add relevant parts to it. For example Greenmarine added quite a few bits about the gamemodes to the german version. So far i was too lazy to translate and add it to 'my' guide in this forum

We all appreciate your effort eSteel! Thanks once again. I understand your worries about the "up-to-date-ness" (we must invent a new word for this!). I will try to synchronize it.

I made OUNS to backup the official wiki and forum and provide some kind of better accessibility, some sort of "sorted community" so people can actively add and improve material. OUNS is just a "beta" to test Wikispaces. I was planning to re-animate Nexuiz-Extra on Wikispaces and migrate the content from OUNS.
