When should penalty points expire?

There is no such feature. PPs won't expire.

well, if they did expire I would have them expire after 6 months, but only if that player has not gotten any more PPs in the time between the PP being issued and the time it is supposed to expire. Once those PPs expire then the previous one will expire after 2 months.

I don't see that point why pen points should expire just by passing a few months. Like I already said in the other PP thread, maybe there should be a possibility of a trade - ELOs for PPs. But it should be a significant amount of ELOs for one PP.

Well, I also don't have a clue how the pen point system is managed on other ladders...

Just remove them after 6 month,s or 6 months since one was given, depending on the condition.

My friend, somehow I just knew you would consider this one bad. Maybe you already had a look at the other pen point topic in the Nexuiz general discussion thread and noticed you are a little late. No problem however.

Hopefully GreEn is already working on a smart compromize, IMHO good for all parties

Well, it really doesn't belong in the 1on1 general discussion either as the same thing would apply to the 2on2 and 3on3 ctf matches too. Besides other ladder specific threads have been started in Nexuiz general discussion like this one for instance: http://www.alientrap.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1454. That's why I suggested a general discussion forum/place for the ladder itself.

yeah, might be good. Will ask the mods to create one!
