Changing the 1on1 ladder mappool after Nexuiz v2.3 release

    • Slimepit --> replaced by Reslimed
    • Soylent
    • Stormkeep
    • Toxic
    • Warfare
    • Ruiner (new)


    DieselPower is too big, and I also think so is Final Rage!

  • Final Rage should be tested.. i think it has that sweet size between small 1on1 and big 2on2 maps.. Kinda like q3dm6 which worked for both..

    Also why was evilspace not in the maplist? I guess there was a reason for it, maybe some too strong gun.. is that still valid with the rebalancing?

  • imo evilspace is a much too open map for 1on1, a real spawn rape fest...
    weapon balancing does not change that

  • esteel, you are absolutely right about final rage

    The map just played great in a test 2on2, and needs to be tested for 1on1 too (1on1 doesn't have the strength tho :P)

    EDIT: After that map is tested and some feedback is given here, I can update the 1on1 ladder mappool.

    And then we'd have to get rid of Downer, Bluesky, Toxic and actually Darkzone as well.

    I dont think the mappool is too big actually. If you don't like a map, just don't play it. Nobody's forced to play all maps.

    I dont think the mappool is too big actually. If you don't like a map, just don't play it. Nobody's forced to play all maps.

  • Well downer and farewell have the problem that its quite easy to control the few good guns in the map but that does not neccessarily mean they are bad 1on1 maps. It just makes it hard to comeback into the match when your opponent got a lead. but isn't that kinda the key to 1on1? :)

    depended much on the skill i remind a match with stryku, when i got in the map its very very hard to get the other one out. When you get the other one out the problem is the you mostly have only a few health point and one shotgun shot and you are dead and the other one get back in.
    If your oppent got a much better skill its near to impossible to get em out !

  • farewell is too easily dominated by the stronger player. Like downer its a map i dont play 1on1, as it simply is no fun.
