Well, since v2.0 you can't do damage through the floor/walls with the rocket launcher, mortar, hagar or electro anymore. I heavily dislike this, but fortunately this is configurable by the cvar "g_throughfloor"

I would really appreciate it to have this feature in the Nexuiz 1on1 ladder. Vote Yes if you want damage through the floor back, vote no if you think this is not needed.

I think the lader shuold use game defaults for this kind of stuff, or it will be too far from the setup on regular servers, imo distancing itself too far from the original game.

This is a setting that heavily influences game tactics, and I think it will be bad for new players that want to join the ladder and that have to play agains players who are used to abusing this "feature".

PS: I am one of those activly using this in game, so I would benefit from it, however, I still think it is a bad idea

XD i thought my through-the-walls prediction capability had suddenly fall down... but that was that... OMG please enable that again !!! Where did come this strange idea from ???
about 10% of my kills are made through the walls !
at least enable it on ladder servers.

Anyway, now that i know that, the batservers have that feature enabled

Through-floor-damage imho is an essential part of Nexuiz in general.

I would appreciate to have activated it on all public servers

i totally agree this is an issue for nexuiz in general not only the ladder. i also heavily miss this feature. it was one of my favorite things. imho its better and ehm forgive me more realistic? explosions of that size doesn't just stop at a small wall.

Please note that the setting will stay default (explosions don't go through the wall) if this poll results in a draw!

I'd rather suggest a poll to make thrudamage on default in the upconing patch (2.0.1, 2.1, 2.5, 3.0, whatever). If it was, it would be all natural to have it on in the ladder too, and everyone would be happy.

I deleted the poll in this thread because I think that the Nexuiz ladder should not have a different gameplay than the normal version of Nexuiz. If the community can achieve that through-floor damange will be enabled again in the next (bugfix) patch, I'm fine with it. I actually don't care whether to have or not to have dmg-through-floor, although it is/was really a nice feature of Nexuiz.

I however also don't want to decide things all alone, so I'd suggest to first wait for the other thread.
