is it possible to play CTF with three or four teams?

Is this a good idea?

It should be possible, allthough no map i know of supports that

CTF only supports two different colored flags right now (red/blue) BUT it does support more teams. Becaue they do not have own flags those extra teams can NOT capture the other flags only return them..

So they would be like secondary teams trying to make a living (hundred points) by aiding or bitching the other teams ?... That would be nice to try some time, I just hope I'll be there if you guys decide to do that, I'm a bit sick ATM.

I was on a ctf server a week ago (green's I think) on which you could change your color in the console or the menu and it would create a new team. There were 6 teams at some point (including the red and blue which most people were on)... the single guy on the yellow team had more frags than the entire blue team too I think.

Yeah but i think that was some kind of bug and i have no idea what caused it. I could not reproduce it on my own local server, i honors the team number setting. So i hope it was just some strange thing that only happend on his server.

Thats the reason why in 1.x times so many ppl liked the yellow teamcolor.

Cuz:

You can shoot at everybody else when you yourself are your own team and get much more frags, a Teams-on-one Deathmatch (or CTF if you waont)

No.. its becasut the crosshair followed your color, ad yeallow was the brighttest

I was talking about oveall choice of player color, not spesifically CTF team.
