  • I love this game!
Thanks for making it available for the 'rest of us', i.e.: MacOS X users!
I can't believe that this game is free!
I've seen game ports for OS X of popular games (popular on the Windows-platform) that looked terrible but 'Nexuiz' looks terrific on this Intel iMac!
Again, congrats and thanx from a MacHead!

  • well, it's not just free, but it's open source. Anyone can look at the code and modify it without any restrictions. Many people contribute to the game, including the community. That's one of the reasons why it's such a great game.

    Welcome to the forums!

And welcome to Nexuiz, the forum and the bright side of life :)

    Thanks!
Is there a chance that Nexuiz will have new 'features' in the future; i.e.: 'user edit' a la 'Sauerbraten'?

  • Well there is always a chance and there was already talk about such a feature but that would require quite huge changes and most people in the team are rather busy currently. But if someone wants to do it or help with, just visit the team on irc ;)

  • I agree completely Misha, Nexuiz much better than some commercial games I've played.
I am also running under an Intel Mac and everything is terrific. For Nexuiz to be on Mac, it really is great.

    Thank you developers!

  • I like this game so hard! :)
I'd like to contribute, but I have no idea of coding or 3D-animation. The only thing I can do is to provide design-ideas (I'm studying right now at arts school)
Well, I always wanted to do character design. 8)

  • The term 'free', when used in the context of a FOSS project, refers to the freedom of usage, modification, and distribution.

Map creation should be delegated to the most effective tool, GTKRadiant for the Darkplaces engine.

As GTKRadiant is a separate project, it is the responsibility of the GTKRadiant development team to handle any requests; such as the precompilation of a specific platform binary.
