  • I use nexuiz-linux-sdl because it's beautiful, but both binaries work for me.
I started using the SDL binary on Windows because the input would lock up on the WGL build (a problem that still persists for some hardware) and switching to SDL solved that.
So, which do you use, and why?

  • I'm using a newer DP client which is not listed there. It supports direct input for the mouse, including the support of additional mouse buttons. Other than that it's equivalent to the nexuiz.exe. the SDL version gives me soundlag for whatever reason.

  • nexuiz-linux-glx, because it behaves a bit nicer in windowed mode than nexuiz-linux-sdl and also starts up a bit faster.
    1. Open Notepad
    2. Paste: ÿþMSMSMS
    3. Save
    4. Open the file in Notepad again

You can vary the number of "MS", so you can clearly see it's MS which is causing it.

    Same here ...

  • nexuiz-linux-glx. Because what's cooler then kick ass graphics on a kick ass linux OS on a kick ass PC?!? Nothing!

I'm all giddied up for my new laptop to come in the mail, that has an nVidia 8600 on there, and I only have a 7600 in my box. Once the linux driver supports the 8800s I'm going to upgrade, make my desktop super-sexy. My electric bill will be higher then normal

  • Nexuiz.app because it is the only one that works on my Intel Mac. The SDL version starts to load but then just goes to a black screen. The regular app works great though.

  • nexuiz-sdl.exe
Because nexuiz.exe doesn't let me play fullscreen, but nexuiz-sdl.exe just works fine.

    ;)

Oh, you mean on the client. I just use netcat to the server and type really fast.

(nexuiz-linux-glx here, for the windowing issues mentioned above by divVerent)
