Match is "important" because one clan (or more like their leader) claims being the best (as far as I remember, alpha always did that) so now everyone thinks that this is some sort of achievement to beat them.

The funniest thing is that there wasn't any CTF tourney... yet there are BEST clans.

It's not a match, so it really doesnt matter, and yeah no CTF tourney = nothing really matters for the euro ctfers.

There is a north american CTF tourney that just kicked off though.

threre was one with 2-3 matches but then it failed.

It's incredibly easy to start a tourney if you have a clue of how they work (experience)

There already is one starting.

I gave up any hope of one a year ago when I was pushing for people to get on ladders at the least and nobody could be bothered to simply join an existing ladder.

I think it's because they only run the official maps. People want to play 1v1 facing worlds and such .

No.

They run whatever the community asks for and gets enough support behind. Community decides the ruleset & map list and what ladders are setup.
