Iæve actually never used 95, 98 or ME. I used DOS and OS/2, then NT4 when OS/2 died.. still use NT4 lots of places actually :)

Windows 95 will work with more than 32Mb but the whole 9x/ME line really isn't that great at big memory management. This is why Doom 3 isn't meant to run on them, even though it can be hacked so that it will run. If John Carmack says that Windows 9x can't deal with that sort of memory use, I'd believe it.

I did try to install 95 on my machine some months ago but the install failed as it can't handle 1Gb. 98SE installed fine although some people have reported probelms with getting it to work with over 512Mb.

Most of these high FOV's that people run will be incorrect. It stands foor Field of View and is the angle of your vision that the monitor should be occupying. Take some measurements of your position in front of your monitor and you'll find it's a lot less than 120. Mine is around 70 degrees (pretty normal so theoretically a FOV of over 70 will give incorrect paralaxing. I can see this on FOV 90.

  • I wouldn't switch from fov 110 => 120 .. it's not much more anyway but the view gets weird.

Ed: of course this is not a good fov actually, but people do it on purpose to have a greater overview

  • [dream mode on]
i wish one day i could play nexuiz with 3 screens, 1 big in front of me, like always, and 1 on each side, so that the total FOV is about 180°
    [dream mode off]
    actually i play with a 111 FOV.
    :) ;)

In CTF thats a different matter iirc.. It a little more tactic-bound...

In a long distance nex vs nex figh, like on nexface, I crouch, and i admit it :) Smaller target after all :)
