ive been using cl_maxfps lately to try to keep a steady framerate while playing.

i notice a strange behavior tho, it seems like if some combination of netfps and maxfps works better than some other.

for example i use 225 as a maxfps since this is what my setup can give me at a stable rate.
before capping the fps i was using a value of 70 for cl_netfps. while playing with netfps a bit i found that the value that gives me the best result in term of smoothness is either 66 or 69. while 64 65 68 and 70 beeing not very smooth..

my question: is there any kind of golden ratio for those two settings and if yes how can i know what is the best combination of both if i want to cap fps between 200-250 ? or im i trying to have sex with a fly here ?

From what i get the ratio between cl_maxfps and the server tic rate is more interesting and the default should be good for the default ticrate.
